Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This policy explains how Shoplit subscriptions are billed, renewed, cancelled and refunded. It is part of our Terms of Service. It covers Shoplit plans only: products sold by Creators follow each Creator's own refund policy.

1. Plans and billing

Shoplit offers a free plan and paid plans (currently Pro and Business), billed monthly or yearly. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page and at checkout, before you pay. Applicable sales tax or VAT is added at checkout.

Paid plans are sold and billed by our reseller and merchant of record, Polar Software, Inc. Your bank statement will show a charge from Polar on behalf of Shoplit. You are billed in advance, at the start of each billing period.

2. Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, for the same length (one month or one year), at the price then in effect, using the payment method on file, until you cancel.

If you subscribe with a discount or promotional offer, the discount applies only for the period stated at checkout. After that, your subscription renews at the regular price.

At least once a year, we email you a reminder of your subscription: your plan, how often and how much you are charged, and how to cancel. For yearly plans, this reminder is sent between 15 and 45 days before each renewal.

3. How to cancel

You can cancel online at any time, in a few clicks: Settings > Plan & Billing > Cancel my subscription. You can also email support@shoplithq.com from the address linked to your account.

Cancellation stops all future renewals. You keep access to your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. We send you an email confirming your cancellation.

4. Price changes

We will email you about any price increase between 7 and 30 days before it takes effect, with instructions to cancel. You can cancel before the new price applies.

5. Refunds

Subscription payments, monthly or yearly, including the first payment, are non-refundable, in full or in part. We do not refund unused time when you cancel or switch to a lower plan.

We will refund a payment in these cases:

  • you were charged twice for the same period;
  • a major technical problem caused by Shoplit prevented you from using your paid features and we could not fix it;
  • the law of your country requires a refund.

To request a refund, email support@shoplithq.com within 30 days of the charge, with the email address of your account. Approved refunds are paid by Polar to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

6. EU and UK consumers: right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase.

When you subscribe to a paid plan, you expressly ask us to give you access to the paid features immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once your access has started (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and, in France, Article L221-28 13° of the Consumer Code). Payments are therefore non-refundable, except in the cases listed in Section 5.

7. Chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first: we usually resolve billing problems quickly. If you file a chargeback, we may suspend your paid features while the dispute is open.

8. Products sold by Creators

This policy does not apply to ebooks, courses or other products bought from a Creator. For those, see the refund policy on the Creator's page and contact the Creator directly.
