ClickFunnels and Shoplit.io: two different starting points

ClickFunnels starts from the sales funnel. You bring a product (an ebook, a course, a coaching offer) and the tool builds the sequence of pages that sells it: order page, post-purchase offers, confirmation page. Around that core it adds a set of apps: email, automations, courses, community, store, appointment booking, CRM.

Shoplit.io starts from the product. You describe an ebook in one sentence, and the AI writes it, illustrates it and lays it out, then writes its sales page if you ask for one. Payments go through your own Stripe account, and the buyer gets the file automatically. Funnels with upsells, video courses and email marketing come on top, depending on the plan.

ClickFunnels includes the selling features in the table below from its first plan. On Shoplit.io, the AI-written sales page comes with the Free plan, email marketing and custom domains with the Pro plan, and funnels with upsells and video courses with the Business plan.

One row is missing from this table because we couldn’t verify it for ClickFunnels: creating the product with AI. Its “Build with AI” assistant can research your market, then designs pages, writes copy, generates images and builds a complete funnel from a conversation (help center). Its official pages don’t, however, mention any AI that writes the ebook or the course content itself. Shoplit.io generates the ebook on every plan, Free included.

How much does ClickFunnels cost, and what should you compare it to?

ClickFunnels sells four plans, all paid: Launch at $97/month, Scale at $197/month and Optimize at $297/month. The fourth, Dominate, is billed annually only: $5,997/year.

On the first three, annual billing gives you two months free. Prices are in US dollars only. Every plan advertises unlimited funnels, labeled “Limited Time”: a time-limited offer, not a guarantee.

There is no free plan. ClickFunnels offers a 14-day free trial followed by a 30-day money-back guarantee, which gives you 44 days to decide according to its pricing page. On sales, ClickFunnels takes no commission (0%): “No. You’ll keep every penny you make,” says its FAQ. Your payment processor’s fees (Stripe, PayPal) still apply.

Be careful with prices you read elsewhere. Several well-ranked pages still quote old ClickFunnels plans that are no longer on its current pricing page: according to its help center, the current lineup dates from June 2025 and replaced the Basic, Pro and FunnelHacker plans, then Startup and Pro. ClickFunnels Classic, the older version of the product, isn’t compared here.

Shoplit.io has three plans. The Free plan lets you create and sell with 2 AI creations and a 10% commission per sale. The Pro plan, at €29/month, brings the commission down to 0% and adds the order bump, email marketing and custom domains, among other things. The Business plan, at €59/month, adds one-click upsells and downsells, the AI funnel, quiz funnels, funnel copying and video courses, with 60 AI creations and a 0% commission. As with ClickFunnels, annual billing gives you two months free.

Against ClickFunnels, the fair comparison is the Launch plan versus Business: Business is the first Shoplit.io plan with one-click upsells and video courses. What they include differs. Launch includes 2 team members, 3 courses, A/B testing and “Build with AI”. With Business, the AI also writes the ebook itself, as on every Shoplit.io plan, and the AI funnel suggests the products your offers are missing.

Is ClickFunnels available in other languages?

ClickFunnels is available in English and Japanese, and so is its help center. For an English-speaking seller, that’s no obstacle. Its prices are in US dollars.

Shoplit.io works in English and French: the app, the help center and the products it generates. The ebook language is a separate setting, so you can create a French ebook from an English-language app, which is useful if part of your audience speaks French. The AI funnel also lets you choose the language of your pages.

Building a sales funnel on each

The stages of a funnel (sales page, checkout, post-purchase offers, thank-you page) are the same everywhere; our guide on how to build a sales funnel covers them step by step. What changes is how you put them together.

With ClickFunnels

First, create your products and connect a payment method (Payments AI, ClickFunnels’ own payment tool, or Stripe). Then there are two ways to start. The first is a template per funnel type, such as the “Book Funnel”, designed for a book or an ebook, with a two-step order page, an upsell and a confirmation page (official guide). The second is “Build with AI”. In quick mode, it asks a few questions, then generates the pages. In research mode, it first studies your market, recommends a funnel type and suggests design inspiration before generating. You then edit the pages by hand or by talking to it.

After checkout, you add one-time offer pages (upsell, downsell); on the checkout page, order bumps. Each step can get a variant for an A/B test (official guide).

With Shoplit.io

The AI funnel, on the Business plan, also works through a conversation. In Funnels, click + Create, then the AI funnel card.

Describe your product in a sentence or two, pick it from your ebooks and courses, or attach a PDF. The AI sums up what it understood, asks 2 to 4 questions, then shows the funnel plan: sales page, checkout with an order bump, upsell, downsell, thank-you page, and the product behind each offer. You adjust it by writing to it (“remove the downsell”), then start the generation. The funnel then opens on its overview, and you can edit everything in the block editor.

Shoplit.io differs most when an offer is missing. If nothing in your store fits the order bump or the upsell, the funnel plan suggests a product idea. Once the funnel is generated, click “Create this product” on the step concerned: the ebook creator opens, already filled in, and the generated ebook takes its place in the funnel at the suggested price. The funnel counts as one AI creation, the ebook as another.

On the Free and Pro plans, you build your funnels yourself with “Start from scratch”, in the same block editor; the Pro plan adds the order bump.

Which one should you use to sell an ebook?

It depends on who writes the ebook.

If the ebook already exists and you want an elaborate funnel around it (order page, order bump, several upsells, an A/B test of the page), the ClickFunnels “Book Funnel” is built for that. For delivery, the ebook file is attached to the product (the “Digital Assets” feature) and becomes available to the buyer after purchase (official guide). For the ebook content itself, though, its official pages don’t announce an AI that writes it: ClickFunnels’ AI builds the funnel and writes the sales copy. If you start from an idea, Shoplit.io writes the ebook. One sentence is enough (“a training log for running your first half marathon”, for example): after a few questions and a recap for you to approve (page count, theme, image style, price, language), the AI assistant delivers the written, illustrated and laid-out PDF. Either way, proofread the generated text: AI is sometimes wrong, and confidently so.

Shoplit.io is the better fit if you start from an idea rather than a finished product, and want creating and selling to happen in one place.

• You want one tool to write the ebook, write its sales page and take payments, without copy-pasting between apps.
• You want to start without a subscription: the Free plan lets you create a first ebook with AI and sell it, with a commission per sale.
• You work in French, or sell to a French-speaking audience as well as an English-speaking one: the app, the help center and the generated products are available in both languages.
